de-novo assembly (Read 9373 times)

Do you have plans to add modules for de-novo genome assembly for 454 and/or Illumina sequencers? I am particularly interested in using it with 454 data. I don't think you have this functionality in the current version but sorry if I missed something.

Do you know if there is a good open-source software we can integrate to solve the problem?

Thanks Jens, having an assembler in the package is a hot topic for the dev-team now so we will definitely review the AMOS as a good candidate.

BTW have you ever heard about Bowtie project: http://bowtie-bio.sourceforge.net/index.shtml ?
