Hye when I build a contig using denovo assembly, I cannot edit it, it is locked. And I cannot see the chromatograms, even using .ab1 or .scf trace files

Hi!
"De novo assembly with CAP3" open results in "MSA Editor" or in "Assembly Browser".
If you open it in "MSA Editor" you can edit the reads.
Neither of them shows chromatograms: you need to use "MCA Editor" for that. To use "MCA Editor" you need to run the "Map reads to reference" menu, not the "CAP3" one.

We are aware of this issue but have no "fix" date assigned.
