Hello All,

I have asked the same question in e-mail but am asking again in forum so that it is recorded for future.

Que:
I have to convert a set of DNA sequences (gene models) to
amino acid sequence. I can do so by opening the file and exporting to
FASTA with 'Translate to amino acid alphabet' option selected. But the
problem is that resulting sequence have an asterisk(*) sign for stop
codon as there are three possible stop codons I cannot simply replace
them with anyone. Is there a way I can translate to amino acid without
the *, instead the actual stop codon?

Thanks

Atul
