Simplified view of annotations construction for visual map (Read 4214 times)

I think it would be great if there were a view setting where you could see a sort of simplified map of all of your annotations. Then you could zoom in and out. Essentially, this could serve as a sort of map or figure to diagram certain annotations. If you could then change visual settings, such as sizes of bars and such, and then also have ways to mark of the map with text and arrows, it would be amazing! Thanks very much for your considerations on this idea!

Today UGENE is able to show annotations only if sequence is available. All you need is to open the sequence and drag-n-drop objects with annotations to it.

Doing this you can visualize as many annotations as you want in the same window. If you do not have a sequence, you can use fake one. For example open any plain text file as  "raw sequence" file. You need to check that the length of the file is enough to fit all annotations.

And yes, we will consider using different forms for different annotation types!
