Hello,

I have been trying to run the primer3 under analyze for bacterial genomic sequence in 1.5.2. It works with short sequences.  What is the maximum length the program can handle? It seems to cause an error that causes Windows to close the whole program.  It happened on two different PCs.  I tried to download to previous version (1.5.1), but the same error occurs.  I use Windows XP .

It would be nice to run Primer3 without having to crop my sequences.  If you need to use my sequences, one “shorter” sequence is NCBI accession number NC_006814.3 and a second “long” sequence is NC_004663.1.

Thank you!

Looks like it's memory usage problem of the original Primer3 algorithm embedded into UGENE. For large files the algorithm uses too much memory and crashes the system.

We will try to patch the code and remove this limitation. Check for updates and reports soon.
