There should be a way to hide/show a annotation or annotation group.

One can hide annotations using the highlighting options (screenshot 1)

Just deselect the highlighting for specific group (screenshot 2)

Also it is possible to easily turn on/off automatic annotations: restriction sites and ORFs. (screenshot 3)
