Hi.

I'm running UGENE 1.31.0 from the Fedora 28 repository. UGENE can start fine and looks normal except all the many of the menu options' text have been replaced entirely by "-" characters. I have attached a screenshot of one menu which has only some of the options replaced. Other menus are more completely replaced.

I believe everything was find prior to upgrading from Fedora 26. I reinstalled UGENE but no difference was noted.

Please advise, thanks.

Hi, we will try to reproduce the issue.

What window manager do you use?

Hi!

Could you please send us your 'env' command output?
So we will know your active locale and settings and will try to reproduce the issue.

Looks like found how to solve the problem on Fedora 28:
1) Click Settings menu
2) Click Preferences
3) Switch 'Appearance' from 'Fusion' to any other option
4) Apply changes.

We will try to fix this issue with Fedora with the nearest release.
