Hello,

I was hoping to combine a forward and reverse read into a config and was using the tools->sanger data analysis->reads de novo assembly (with CAP3). When I try to combine the two reads I keep getting an error message however "File doesn't contain any msa objects". Does anyone know why this keeps occuring?

Any help would be greatly apprecaited!

Does your cap3 run ?
I got a sort of similar problem, the path of external tools was done well define, U add to reset it in the settings option (just clock on the button to indicate the folder where tools are stored)

Hi Mark,
Catherine is right. Could you please check that the tools are set up correctly ("Settings"->"Preferences"->"External Tools")?

They should already be pre-configured if you use our version of UGENE. Do you use some custom-built versions?
