Title: align sequences in workflow designer
Post by randolf on May 29th, 2013 at 6:47pm
Hi, I'm working with the workflow designer. I have two sequences and want to combine them in a alignment element, to align them afterwards with muscle.
How can I combine the sequences in an alignment file (.aln)? In the gui I used the "export sequences as alignment".

Thanks for the help,
Thomas

Hi Thomas!

There is the "Join Sequences into Alignment" element that can do that. It takes all input sequences an outputs one multiple alignment (unaligned yet), then you can pass this "alignment" to the MUSCLE element and write it into a file.

I have attached the scheme.
