Title: Print multiple alignment

How do you print a multiple alignment?  If printing is not an option, is there a program it can be exported to that preserves the alignment?

Do you want to print only visible part of the alignment or the whole alignment? What if the alignment is too long to fit the page?

Clustal plain text format by itself is very printing friendly. You can save alignment in Clustal format from UGENE and open the file in any text editor to print it. The only drawback here is a lack of coloring.

Thanks.  That worked as long as I opened the file using landscape page orientation.  Is there a way to print or export the color alignment for making figures?

You can't save alignment as image with with v1.6, but I think we should consider this feature for the following releases.

Right now if you use Windows you can get any application image by pressing 'Alt-Print Screen' buttons to capture the image into clipboard and insert it into any graphical editor with "Ctrl-V" buttons. As a graphical editor you may use mspaint or photoshop or even MS Word.

Thank you.  Including a print option and an option to export the file (whole sequence alignment) in a future release would be very helpful.

Since version 1.7 you can export alignment to picture.
Feature documentation can be found here.

This seems to be only a screen capture, with only a part of the sequence when the sequence is very long.

Printing long alignments are wrapped to fill the whole page (both Vector NTI and Gentle do this) and continue on a new page if the page is filled.

We will put this feature to our TODO list.
